Moving house

The nice thing about moving is that it forces me to go through all my possessions (aka, junk) and take a hard look at what I should keep and what I shouldn't. I've been gradually moving stuff over to my new location for a while now so I'm sort of living out of suitcases in both places. It's forcing me to realize just what is absolutely essential and what's not. I also rediscovered a Wacom tablet and mouse that I first purchased back in...2005? but still works with the current laptop. I don't recommend the "pearl" white finish though-- it picks up permanent finger smudges which are now acting as a guide for how to hold the mouse.

Also, Say Yes to the Dress is a horrible guilty pleasure: I don't want to watch but I can't pull away. But I do have one major pet peeve (of many): the crying. Oh my God, the crying. I get that weddings and getting married and shopping for a wedding dress are emotional and lord knows I cry easily and I'll probably cry if I ever go wedding-dress shopping but...good grief, the crying. Ladies, take a damn Ativan before you go wedding dress shopping or a shot of Jager because...damn.
Also, just once, I'd like to see a bride on this show who, if she's not paying for the dress but falls in love with a dress beyond the budget, for her to say, "You know what? I will kick in the extra money to get this dress, Mom/Dad/Fiance/Grandma, etc." I know that doesn't necessarily make for good TV but come on.
Of course, I'd likely just get this dress because it can have pink accents so what do I know?
