Here's a freewrite I did for class back in October because I'm lazy like that.
----------------------------------------

10/14/2010
Some of the freewrites are in my QV Habana journal (brown cover)... Raining outside. So we’ve been in class since 9/16/2010. Since then, there has only been one Thursday night where it hasn’t poured rain. This will not be one of those nights. It would bother me less if I haven’t been on campus since 7:15 A.M., have to walk 0.6 miles from my office to the classroom and then, when class gets out at 10 PM or whatever (I’m exaggerating but only slightly), walk another 0.3 miles from my classroom to 30th Street station, and then wait for a bus or train to go home. But while 0.6 and 0.3 miles looks short on paper, when it’s 9 PM at night and the city blocks are long and it’s raining and you’ve been up for 16 hours and your arm hurts and there’s no quick public transit way to get from Point C to Point D….it takes its toll. My head hurts. I wasn’t going to drink coffee today even though I only got five hours of fitful, nauseated sleep (thanks, mysterious ailments!) but I broke down and drank a K-Cup of something [this morning]. It tasted like some weak-ass coffee though so either I picked a weak cup or the machine put in too much water or something. And here endeth the freewrite.
Also, how sad is it that it was this year before I realized that the line, “here endeth the lesson” (frequently heard on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is actually from the King James Bible? Lord, I’m dumb.
