There's just no accounting in taste, okay? So sometimes you decide to get a pen made out of "bikini pink" acrylic because for God's sake, it's pink and red swirled together with a pearlescent finish. I mean, how could I resist?! I'm not made of stone. So how this works is, you peruse the
Edison Pen website and then contact proprietor Brian Gray about pen materials, nib type, filling method, blahblabety-blah...after a lot of back and forth, I decided on this crazy "bikini pink" acrylic
Pearl, which is red and pink swirls with a pearlescent sheen. I like pink, okay? I also decided on two steel nibs-- one medium and one cursive italic (0.7m,), and the standard cartridge-converter filling method. The pen can also be used as an eyedropper. Brian was a joy to work with. The pen writes like a dream and I love having the versatility of two nibs. Between this and the new
Noodler's Flex pens, I think I've finally reached the end of my pen acquisition but I have to admit, some of these
other Pearls look mighty tempting...

Let me guess... is that ink Iroshizuku Yama-budo?
ReplyDeleteNo, it's actually Noodler's Saguaro Wine :)
ReplyDeleteWow! They look similar.
ReplyDeleteI love to guess at ink colors... Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.
Thanks for posting!
