Mine eyes!

So wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. If I get PRK refractive surgery or a Phakik lens implant, then I could read in the bathtub without having to wear my glasses? Or just pop down to the beach without worrying about the sand scratching up my eyeglasses? Or like, I'd wake up in the morning and as soon as I open my eyes, I can just see? Without any extra effort on my part? Is that how this works then? Because that sounds kind of awesome.
