(I admit that I may have a problem).

| Filofax Metropol Personal in Raspberry Pink |
|
|
I bought and then returned a
few different Filofaxes (lavender Metropol; Classic Pink) before finally settling on the pink (Raspberry)
Metropol Personal. Size-wise, I'd say the Personal size is similar to
Franklin Covey's compact size but the Filofax page inserts aren't as wide. For me, the Filofax Personal size is still useable but small enough to fit in my purse without destroying my shoulder. The Metropol came with a
2011 Week on Two Pages diary refill but I switched it out for a
Day on Two Pages refill since I'm used to that. For 2012 though, I might switch to one of the other formats:
Week on Two Pages Lined;
One Page per Day;
Month on Two Pages Tabbed;
Two Days Per Page; or a Week on Two Pages (unlined)
in pink from the UK website (of course. You know what, just shut up already). What's also really nice (and enabling) is the
Filofax web
community for optimum
planner playfulness.
Things I like about my Filofax:
Things that could be improved upon:
- the double pen loops: having two is nice but the back pen loop is only wide enough for the skinniest of pens. Boo-urns.
- The diary inserts are all double-sided, to the point that it can sometimes be frustrating to use. If I wanted to put a "March" tabbed divider in front of the March pages, I wind up blocking part of February too because they all run into each other. That kind of sucks. Here's one instance where I think Filofax could be more like Franklin Covey.
Now pictures for the big finish!
